The Lenovo Legion 5i Pro is the king of all gaming laptops on our list. Lenovo’s Legion series has always been fan’s favorites for gaming, and this latest generation lives up to fan expectations. 

Regarding specs, you have a few options, like the Core i9 variant. If you can’t stretch your budget that much, you can go for the Core i7 and Core i5 variants. 

Just like that, if you decrease the budget, you’ll get a much lesser power graphics card. But here, Lenovo has coupled the Core i9-13900HX with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 8GB GDDR6. 

So both the CPU and GPU are superb for 4K, 120 fps gaming. You can’t expect the same for other variants. There is a comment that says the same thing:

Speaking about batteries, it dropped to just 2 hours, even though I wasn’t doing anything intensive like gaming. So, here, battery life can be an issue. 

Overall, The sleek and stylish Legion 5i does strike the perfect balance between portability and performance, ensuring you can game on the go without breaking a sweat.

This Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 gaming laptop is an example of how you can get amazing performance from an innocent looking laptop. Let’s dive into it’s details. 

Regarding its specs, it comes with an AMD Ryzen 9 processor and a GeForce RTX 4060 GPU, providing awesome gaming capabilities. Now these specs can handle pretty much any game you want to play at 2K at 120 fps.

Remember, The G14 has a couple of different variants. So, don’t get confused. Here we are talking about a Ryzen 9 processor from the 7000 series and the G14 (2022), which has a Ryzen 9 processor from the 6000 series. 

Along with that, the 7000 series comes with the RTX 4000 series and 32 GB of RAM. However, the 6000 series comes with AMD Redon RX 6800s with 24 GB of RAM. Both the processor and GPU work well, and there are minimal differences in performance.

I saw people praising the ROG Zephyrus G14 (2023), and here’s a comment you need to check out: 

Now, if you’re wondering about the display, then it’s a 14-inch IPS display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution and a 165 Hz refresh rate. Excellent graphics for gaming, and overall remains efficient for everyday tasks.

One thing I didn’t like about the laptop is that it really overheats, sometimes up to 103 °C. Maybe it’s because of it’s design. However, I tried Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and the game was running quite smoothly.

Similar to the other laptops on our list, this one also offers some variants. However, the one currently making waves on Reddit features an Intel Core i9 13th generation processor paired with an RTX 4070 graphics card. 

This combination of processor and graphics card truly provides an incredible gaming experience, similar to having a turbocharged engine for your gaming setup. 

My tests have shown that it performs exceptionally well, especially in popular online games like Apex Legends, where it achieves an impressively smooth 160 FPS at 1440p resolution

Along with specs, this laptop has a stunning 16-inch display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution. It has an IPS panel that offers vivid visuals with a glossy finish and a 16:10 aspect ratio, providing a more immersive experience. 

Also, it’s a touch screen display, and don’t forget the snappy 120 Hz refresh rate; gamers will love it for ultra-smooth gameplay.

And look-wise, it’s decent and has good build quality. The exterior is made of black aluminum, with a textured pattern on the lid and bottom for a good grip. 

Moving over, the keyboard is comfortable to type on, with a good feel and quiet keys. However, the Space bar is a bit louder. All keys have single-zone RGB backlighting, so you can’t customize each key separately.

And finally, this laptop packs a 90 Whr battery. If you’re gaming, it’ll give you a solid 2 hours of playtime. Similarly, on lighter tasks, like browsing or office work, it can go up to 6 hours.

Now, if I take a look at this laptop, The MSI Bravo 15 has a couple of variants, but on Reddit,  people were suggesting the AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS. Pretty handy processor for both gaming and productivity tasks.

If you take a look at it’s GPU, it’s rocking an RTX 4060, which is hefty, I know. However, if you have a short budget, you can also get the RTX 3050 variant for a much more affordable price. 

For the Ryzen 7 and RTX 4060, I found a lot of comments saying it’s a perfect match for newer titles, if you want to game in 1080p. Here’s one of the comments. 

Let’s check some other things on this laptop, like the display. It has a 15.6-inch IPS LCD screen with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate. I will say that’s great for wide viewing angles and less glare.

If you ask me about the design, this variant comes with a matte black finish and a strong plastic build. Nope! not the premium feel of metal, but I like how lightweight this thing really is. 

Moving on to the keyboard, here everything is pretty basic, similar to what you find in budget gaming laptops. It has single-color backlighting, so there’s no fancy rainbow of colors.

The battery on this thing isn’t quite special, as it can give you around 2.5 hours of gaming without charging. And for your information, it has a Li-Po battery, which has good efficiency but isn’t replaceable.

So, all in all, it’s a budget option for those who have thought about playing AAA titles without getting 2K or 4K resolution.

Now, let’s look at the specs. The Nitro 5 packs an impressive 12th-gen i7 processor, and is armed with an RTX 4060, creating a very powerful combo. On this CPU and GPU, you’ll enjoy top-notch gaming performance without a doubt.

The GPU performs well on many titles and gives an average frame rate of 120 Hz, which is awesome. For casual gamers, it will be fine, but if you want to play on ultra settings, then it may not be smooth.

After the GPU, comes the display. The Acer Nitro 5 features a 15.6-inch IPS panel with 1920 x 1080p resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate. Though I would prefer 2K and 165 Hz.

In 2023, 1080p resolution may not be the most exciting, but it is an excellent choice for low-cost laptops. The right screen size keeps the visuals cool and makes games look good. Furthermore, it ensures that most games run smoothly at the laptop’s native resolution. 

Moving on to the design, it’s a mix of plastic and metal parts. It’s not as slim as my other gaming laptops, and it has a bit of a retro vibe. If you want a laptop that shouts, “I’m trendy and sleek,” then this isn’t it.

But if you ask about the keyboard, then it feels good, with cool key travel and a crisp, snappy bottom-out action that offers decent feedback. The laptop has RGB keyboard backlighting, but it is per-zone rather than per-key.  

The Nitro 5’s battery life is relatively weak, which is quite common in its gaming laptop category. However, it falls short of the long-lasting performance seen in some other gaming laptops.

The main reason for this is its small 51 watt-hour battery, which struggles to support its power-hungry hardware. This is in contrast to thinner and lighter laptops, which tend to have more efficient power management.

Overall, The Acer Nitro 5 is considered to be the best budget friendly laptop. If you want to play games but don’t want to spend a lot of money, this is definitely the best laptop you can get.

Here’s another Lenovo gaming laptop that’s seriously worth it because of its super budget-friendly price. I was surprised to see many Reddit users recommending it due to its powerful performance in gaming. Let’s check its abilities. 

First off, let’s see its hardware. The laptop has an AMD Ryzen 5 6600H with an RTX 3050, which is a really powerful combo. With this combo, you will easily get high FPS in many games.

In 2023, I think RTX 3050 graphics cards will be good for most AAA games. But for high-end games, it might offer slightly lower FPS compared to the RTX 4050.

Now, let’s look at the display. This laptop features a 15.6-inch 1080p LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate. For casual gamers, this 120 Hz display is great because it makes games with faster frame rates look smoother. 

It can also enhance your performance in games like CS:GO, Fortnite, and Overwatch 2, where precision and quick reactions are important.

Next, for the design, I’ll just say that the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 was solid. The laptops are primarily constructed of plastic and have a nice gaming look, respectively, so Lenovo’s laptop is light. There is minimal flex in the chassis and the lid, if you’re worried about durability. 

Along with that, the keyboard I was impressed with the keyboard on the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3. It’s highly responsive for both gaming and typing tasks. The backlight has only one color.

Finally, the battery is 60 Wh, which lasts nearly four hours without gaming. It hardly provides a single hour of gaming. Gaming laptops, due to their powerful hardware, particularly those in the lower price range, are not known for having long battery lives. 

Overall, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 Gaming is a budget-friendly gaming laptop with respectable performance. However, it may not meet the demands of more demanding gamers due to its budget-friendly specifications.
